The objective of the extension project of Family Health League is to provide a teaching/learning process to the students and professors of the health graduation courses. It was carried out in the social reality lived by the population and in the context of the basic Family Health Units (FHU). It privileges the building interdisciplinary practices in the strategic family health which is founded on the integrality principle as one of the pillars of Health Primary Attention  (HPA). The ideas/power which orient this project are: permanent education on health, popular health education, interdisciplinary team, participative methodologies, place the people in loco. This project has come forth because of the university needs to rethink the whole process of training the health professional over. The professionals which were part of the Unique Health System and who were touched by the importance of reorienting the attention model.  The great challenge for the health trainning is to foster a critical reflexion on the several forms of health intervention, about the dynamics of the work and to touch the students for the HPA. The project was carried out on the five comprehensive Family Health Units. The people who take part in the project are the students and professors of the following courses: Medical school, nursing, veterinarian, nutrition and Social Services. The expected results are: to build a bond among professionals, students and customers; to foster social participation; to make it possible for the student to take part in the health service and in the community; to favour a broad perception of the caring practices and of the sickness/health process; to promote the debate on HPA as a strategy to reorganize the Public Health Care so as to allow the development of the teaching, research and extension.
