We are a research group studying the characteristics and tendencies of the education process of Brazilian health professionals,  as well as their insertion inside the job market. The goal of the present work is to specifically analyze the geographic distribution of health technicians in a quantitative manner. The data will be obtained from two sources: Censo Educacional/INEP/MEC 2005 and AMS/IBGE/2005. The former describes the profile of educational institutions and their students, while the latter maps all the health establishments according to the Brazilian Health Ministry. We restricted the sample space to health technicians with a secondary level education.
