Health promotion is the process of exchange of knowledge with the community, aiming at an improvement in their quality of life and health, including greater participation in the control of social determinants of health, where the population takes part in processes. Objective: To identify the problems raised by the study group and an intervention with the population. Methodology: It was used as a methodology of action research, working with the community, seeking a solution to the problems raised by it. Study participants were children between 3 and 5 years, students in a kindergarten in Taguatinga, Federal District, Brazil. Results: As a result, we could observe the needs of children through the act of play. Play is a protective factor for children, where it falls in their culture, interact with the community, and develop skills and capabilities. Often disregard the act of playing, and we believe that clothing and gifts are most important, a mistake, supported by one of the participating children: "Playing is more fun than winning this." He realized the importance of "play" for the development of those children and also one of the most important ways to promote health to them.

Learning Objectives: Demonstrate the importance of the act of playing as a protective factor for children's health; Analyzing and discussing the work
