Health promotion is the process of exchange of knowledge with the community to act to improve the quality of life and health, one of the tools for health promotion with individuals is the participatory intervention. The objective of this study is to identify the needs, along with the respondents, in order to determine possible interventions through the action research methodology. The group studied was the Educational Advising Center Partner - COSE that plays an important role in strengthening family life, which serves children, adolescents, adults and elderly community of low economic partner. The research was developed with children and adolescents from Taguatinga Administrative Region of the Federal District. We made five visits to the COSE, the researchers used these visits to interact with some dynamic children and adolescents, a type of relationship between researcher and researched that can facilitate more dialogue to better capture the expressions of children and adolescents. The study subjects were children and adolescents are enrolled in COSE, the morning shift. Among the 35 surveyed, 69% were boys and 31% were girls, ages 6 to 15 years. First there was the dialogue to meet the needs of the study population, and all subsequent meetings were planned from the first contact made with children and adolescents. What became apparent during the visits, that respondents were in the habit of being heard, being the dominant approach was the behavior of the environment, contrary to what the instructors and the direction of the site claimed. One of the greatest needs was listening to his thoughts and desires, another need was big play, because the group was heterogeneous in age and gender complicating the definition of purpose and the activities. The methodology of Action Research is advisable in all groups, but indicates the separation of homogeneous work groups.
Learning Objectives: Expose the using of Participatory Intervention with children and adolescents. Discuss the health promotion as a tool in primary health.
