Pharmaceuticals and public health

First of all, regarding the relation between pharmaceuticals and public health, the theoretical framework between them will be highlighted. Secondly, in line with this framework, the effects of rational drug use to the public health and an evaluation of the models of financialization and reimbursement of the pharmaceuticals will be touched upon. Finally, with an outlook shaped through the relations of above process, specifically the Turkish case will be discussed. Key words: pharmaceuticals, public health, reimbursement, rational drug use.
