Learning Objectives: This research is prepared to measure the knowledge level of the students about the substances which make dependency; and to learn whther they use these substances or not; and to get the contribution of the regions in which users of these substances. This work is applied to 100 students chosen from first and second level students in K.M.Y.O. in October-November-December in 2005 by the third level students from Y.Þ.S.Y.O. by the method of under observation. Of the participants 43% are between 19-20 ages, 64% male students, 82% have seed-family, 55% have equal income-outcome. The participants say; 27% they smoke, 16% they don’t use any substances, 18% say the reason of starting is stress, 23% say they get calm after using these substances, 24% mother smoke, 45% father smoke, 40% say they have physical,psycologic,materialistic problems after using these substances. The difference is statistically very important that the reasons between using the substances and trying to give up; and satrting and using substances. The relation is also statistically very important between the feeling after using the substances make dependency and trying to give up. As a result; most of the university students who participate in the research point out that they smoke, they calm after using these substances, they try to give up once or three times by themselves. It is found out that students have problems with their families and they have physical-psycologic-materialistic problems after using these substances. Key word: student,
