These trainings were given in September 19 groups, and in two stages: theoretical and practical. Before and after the theoretical trainings, a 10 item pretest and a final test prepared by Project Consultancy Committee and trainers were practiced to evaluate the effectiveness of the trainings. Also a home environment was prepared including dangers that may cause home accidents and a practical training was given to the participants to increase the awareness of participant against these dangers. After this training, application guide was used to assess the effectiveness of the training. Presentations, posters and brochures were given to the participants as education material at the end of the training.
The training grades of trainers within the scope of the home accident preventing project is the pretest mean score was 60.04 and the posttest mean score was 89.85 and the difference between the two means was found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). The application grade averages of the trainers are 92.02.
