INTRODUCTION:
During routine observations we have made in some health facilities in the city of Kisangani Health District, we were able to report that the interaction between staff and patients were generally very low. We asked ourselves if this situation could not jeopardize the health system in general, the objectives of health programs and, by extension, the state of health of care recipients. We hypothesized that the interaction between staff and patients is very low in the District Health Kisangani.

METHODS:
Our study population consisted of patients and health personnel of the health district city of Kisangani. In this study population, we drew a sample of 200 patients and 200 health workers. During data collection, we combined the techniques of observation free and semi-structured interview. The data reduction was by pointing and clustering of responses according to their content.
RESULTS:
It was noted that 80% of health workers have not organized a community outreach sessions, 70% of health workers do not associate the patients to treatment programs, 100% do not organize sessions home visits for continuing care, 67% are unaware of the global problems of patients and 85% of health personnel are not trained in continuing care.
CONCLUSION:
We found a lack of interaction between health personnel and patients in the health district city of Kisangani, outside, it's entertainment community that can offer patients the opportunity to ask questions of health personnel and to present their grievances. The almost total lack of monitoring of patients at home is a sign of distance between health staff and patients

Learning Objectives: This research is an incentive for health authorities to integrate health policy in a minimum package of activity of the interaction between staff and patients (continuing care). The concern of health professionals should be to meet the demand of the community. This work is therefore both a challenge and the best source of information on the interaction between staff and patients in treatment programs.
