Degree of provider and patient satisfaction is considered as an important measure of quality care, adhesion to treatment and as an indicator of adequate use of health services. The aim of this study was to analyse the psicometric properties of CARDIOSATIS scales, which evaluates the patient’s (CARIODSATISUs) and provider’s satisfaction (CARIODSATISEq) with care given to cardiovascular diseases by a distance telecardiology project. Degree of satisfaction is a component of the project effectivenes, which has been implemented in 82 small towns of Minas Gerais State. The constrution of scales followed the international standards for development of instruments. CARDIOSATISEq was applied to doctors, before and after Project’s implementation. The CARDIOSATISUs is being applied to patients with suspicion/diagnosis of syndrome coronariana, identified in base line like eligible for follow up study. Analyses were made to test the validity of construto, through exploratory fatorial analysis; internal consistency using Cronbach’s alfa; correlation between items, factors and global scale using Spearman’s correlation. CARDIOSATISEq was answered by 152 doctors, whose majority was men, middle age of 40 years and middle time of formation of 13 years. Fatorial analysis indicated the distribution of the items in three factors explaining 62% of variation. The internal consistency was 0,90 for the global scale and up 0,57 for the factors. Providers’ satisfaction varied of dissatisfied to indifferent. Preliminary analysis was made with 2109 patients who evalueted received care through CARDIOSATISUs. The majority was female, middle age of 50 years and married. Fatorial analysis indicated the distribution of the items in two factors, explaining 50% of variation. The internal consistency was 0,84 for global scale and patient’s satisfaction scores varied of satisfied to much satisfied. We can conclude that CARDIOSATIS scales showed appropriate rates of validity and reliability and have been contributing to the evaluation of the effectiveness of Minas Telecardio Project.

Learning Objectives: 1-Describe the construction's and validation's process of CARDIOSATIS scales 2-Discuss the use of CARDIOSATIS scales as a valid tool to evaluate telemedicine services in primary health care

Sub-Theme: Improving performance and productivity of the health team
