Xu Huan, Li Mu Office of Public Health Policy Research, Chinese Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [Abstract] ObjectiveTo review the development of civil rights protection in public health legislation in China , analyze current challenges, and thus provide a basis for the optimization of public health laws. Methods We carried out theoretical and practical studies by literature review, symposiums, and policy analysis. FindingsWe analyzed the basic framework of public health laws in China, summarized the main contents of civil rights protection shown by the public health legislation, and explained the main challenges. ConclusionResearch in public health legislation should be further strengthened, so as to achieve the harmony and unification of administrative power and civil rights in public health laws.
