Background: Organs or tissues transplants are very important for the patient who fail or loose the functions of organs or tissues. However, in the east culture willing to donate of organs or tissue is not popular. It is a few studies on this topic in Taiwan. Objectives: To recognize the peoples’ willingness of donation in bone tissues at ambulatory services of hospital. What the factors are to influence donation?  Methods: Survey on the people at the ambulatory services of hospital by self-complete to fill up the closed questionnaire, which designed by researchers and its average of Cronbach alpha is 0.7961. There are 1100 respondents in research during August to October, 2007 by three times per week to do the survey.  Results: The respondent rate is 98%. Under no harm, 61.3% respondents are will to donate their bone tissues for patients and 47.8% of them are will to donate for doing research. The higher education is, the more willing to donate their tissues (p<.0001) by ANOVA test. The 21-30 year-old group is the highest willing to donation (p<.0001) ANOVA test. The less than 21 year-old and older than 65 year-old  groups are the most unwilling to donate. The middle-class group is the most willing to donate comparing with the poorest and the richest groups. If the families did not agree to do donation, 35.3% respondents will don’t to do it. Conclusions: Over half respondents in our study are willing to donate their bone tissue for patients’ treatment but less half respondents are willing to donate their tissues for doing research. The fresh and young employees are the most willing group to donate their bone tissues. Although there are less than half people were influenced by their family to donate their bone tissues, it should be concerned.
