This workshop will provide training on the use of WHO’s Urban Health Equity Assessment and Response Tool (Urban HEART). Participants will learn about the six-step process, including intersectoral team-building, defining indicators and benchmarks, assessing health equity, and prioritizing issues and responses, through lectures and interactive exercises. Case examples of Urban HEART applications will be shared to discuss the practical challenges and successes of implementing the tool.
