Conceptual Model of International Health involves new approaches and redefinitions of Public Health and fosters the development of new training models.
One issue addressed should take into account globalization and international determinants of health as well as their understanding from an interdisciplinary and intersectoral approach.
Education and health are two closely related components; in this context, the University is not only the site for information and professional education training, but also may be the ideal link to promote a culture of individual health, the university population and general population.
The Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez, in conjunction with the social distribution of knowledge, makes strategic and sustained actions that promote overall health and participation of the university community, developing a culture of health, including the formation of healthy lifestyles, self-care, healthy living environments and healthy learning, research and teaching within their substantive functions.
In the international contextthe concept of international health and education can be applied through the Latin American Network of Health Promoting Universities.
This project takes up one of the agreements of this network, which is to develop, adapt and disseminate guidelines on health promoter universities based on agreements and international treaties, as well as the experiences of Mexican Universities
