376 A Model for Woman's Behavior in Keeping Fitness

This study is designed to investigate the effect of observable behavior variable in keeping fitness when a woman exercises physically, and to develop a recommended model for keeping fitness. Two hundred and six students were selected randomly among Airlangga University students who join physical fitness program. They were interviewed by mean of structured questionnaires. The results showed that knowledge and attitude affected directly woman’s behavior, while woman’s behavior affected woman’s fitness. Moreover, knowledge was related to woman’s values of physical exercise, while attitude was related to positive response to the benefit of physical exercise. The fitness component may achieve optimal condition when physical exercise is done by considering its proper method and dose. It was concluded that three observable variables were related to model for woman’s behavior in keeping fitness.

Learning Objectives: The style of women’s behavior in physical exercise is determines personal quality of fitness consist of practice components and practice components consists of plural components (knowledge and attitudes). The character of a person and the style of their behavior in life is determines personal quality of life. There are two feature that are knowledge and attitudes. Knowledge of young women associated with how do they think of their own health conditions. And attitudes related to how do their attention to do the physical exercise (concept FIT= frequency, intensity, time).
